Young Adults

Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. - Titus 2:2-8

Carrville Young Adult Ministry exists to Teach, Integrate, Mentor/Serve, and Evangelize, young men and young women, both inside the church and in the community. The acronym T.I.M.E (described below) shows a framework that outlines the mission and goals of this ministry at Carrville.

Teach

Teach the young adults about biblical truths and sound doctrine using the inerrant word of God, to help them grow in their relationship with Christ.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.- Colossians 3:16

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Integrate

Integrate the young adults into the body of Christ by developing & fostering relationships between all generations of believers.

Mentor/Serve

Mentor/Serve with the young adults demonstrating how Christians are to conduct themselves and serve one another, both in the church and their community.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. - James 1:22-25

Evangelize

Evangelize the young adults so they can share their love for Christ and the gospel with their family, friends, and community.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20
