Bread of Life Food Pantry Ministry

Our Bread of Life food pantry ministry has grown tremendously over the years and is a great way for our church to help those in our community.

It is an awesome thing to be able to bless the needy people here in our own community. Carrville Baptist Church is committed to making a difference in the local community. In March 2012 the church started the Bread of Life Food Pantry Ministry.

With the help of many volunteers we are able to minister to approximately 80 families each month.

Needy community members will be able to make appointments and come to the pantry, located in the Carrville Baptist Church physical church facility, to receive food and other supplies at no cost.

Currently, Bread of Life serves 81 families each month with around 50-60 pounds of food. There is a waiting list for bread of Life. To sign up for the waiting list you need to have a picture id, proof of total family income, and a utility bill or lease in your name.

While our hope is that the people who come will also desire prayer and counseling, there will be no strings attached to receiving this blessing of provision. Bread of Life will preach the Gospel through a tangible blessing with nothing expected in return. As people receive these practical blessings, however, their hearts will be open to receiving more of the Lord.

The poor are starving for food but more often than not, they are starving even more for healthy relationships. We are trusting that the relationships formed from Bread of Life Food Pantry will result in salvation, healing and mighty moves of God in the lives of the people who come there. We also believe our church membership will become more diverse as some of these community members join us, thus further removing any racial, cultural or economic walls that may exist. Volunteers Needed! To operate the pantry, Carrville Baptist Church needs volunteers who have a heart to bless the needy. There are many areas of need including organizing schedules and work, picking up food and delivering it to the pantry, and volunteering to give out food and praying and counseling with those who desire that. When you give of yourself to help the poor, you are ministering to the Lord. Come help us make Carrville Baptist Church Bread of Life Food Pantry Ministry a huge blessing for Tallassee, Alabama and surrounding areas.
Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? " The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me." Matthew 25:37-40.
